Get to Know Judge Denise Bradley

Judge Denise Bradley has served Harris County, Texas for over 32 years as both an assistant district attorney and judge. As a prosecutor, she tried more than 200 cases, including three capital murder cases, and volunteered with the STAR Drug Court program. In 2010, she became judge of the 262nd District Court, continuing her work in treatment courts. She was appointed to the Texas Specialty Courts Advisory Council in 2011 and helped create the RIC Docket to expand treatment for low-level drug offenses. A frequent speaker, Bradley has received multiple awards for her public service, including the Visionary Leader Award (2016) and Alumnae Public Service Award (2021). Since retiring in 2018, she has remained active as a consultant and visiting judge.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, more than 20 practitioners gathered for a focus group to share insights on how technology could support treatment courts. The session, Scaling What Works: Technology Across Diverse Courts with Judge Bradley, focused on the role of technology in treatment courts.
